Frankly, I don't think the redhead and brown color pallets should be combined. I found that I could not wear any of the lipsticks or lip gloss. They looked terrible. I am only able to wear one blush; the other blushes appeared orange on my face or muddy. I can only wear a few of the shadows; the other colors such as those in the dark pink and gold are simply wrong for me. I got a brown and a red lip liner, no eyeliner. I do not like brown mascara, I prefer black.
I thought the shadows and blush were a good quality. One of the lipsticks was coarse and grainy.
Too bad, I had such high hopes.

The quality of this makeup is excellent, and compares favorably to department store brands. I have to admit some of the colors I simply would not wear but there are plenty to choose from so that is not a problem.

I hardly use eyeshadows, so it was nice to find a kit that had eyeshadows that blended well with the other colors in the kit...still don't use them a lot..the only complaint I would have is that I have to make sure the plastic divide is put back in place over the blushes and the eyeshadows or the loose powder residue starts to make a mess on the brushes, lipsticks, etc on the other side of the kit. If there was some permanent divide that could be put in place, this would be perfect kit, which is portable and nice...perhaps these colors could be sold as part of the popular mineral cosmetics (without any fillers) in the future? Otherwise, a great buy, Jill Kirsch had done a fantastic job here

Foolproof color system based on hair color. The color swatches are exceptional. I love all the makeup, the textures and colors. I found the brushes inferior in quality, but since I own good brushes, I don't use the ones that came with the kit. Now I always feel confident when I make up and go out into the world. What an innovative idea Ms. Kirsh!

I love all the colors in the warm blond makeup kit. At first, I was overwhelmed. I am not a makeup artist. I didn't know where to start, so I just dove in and started experimenting. It was fun once I got the hang of it. I would have liked more information on how and where to put the color. The "makeup tip" page was inadequate and there are no names or numbers on any of the makeup so I cannot reorder what I like. The makeup stays on all day. The colors work for me. I didn't know I could wear some of the eye shadows. I do not like the lipsticks as they are too dark for my taste, however they are smooth and creamy and stay on. It is a great kit. I'm glad I purchased it. Worth the $.

If this is done by a make-up artist, she needs to go back to the drawing board. The colors are correct for the hair color type, which was helpful, but the powders are too loose and fall all over the place making it difficult to not have colors integrate with the other. They were too difficult to remain on the face.
I returned the kit and will not purchase it again.
The lipsticks are the only component I would bother with and should be sold separately so you can purchase more than the one color offered by you.

I have this same kit. I don't use the dark brown for brows. My thought for the dark brown is to use it as a liner, wet or dry..
the softer, lighter brown in the row above to the right .. is the PERFECT brown for my brows. and I use it with that small brush to feather it in.. and it works well for my dark warm blonde hair.
the dark brown is really harder to work with for brows for golden brown hair & redhead.. but it's sheer perfection if you want a smokey without having to go to black (ick).. and this way it makes your eyes pop.. and your brows are framed nicely with the lighter brown color.

Makeup is refreshing. A lighter (medium) brown could have been an option for brows. The dark brown looks harsh. The angled brush was subpar. Unclear about refills.

Finally the Right Color

I balked initially at spending so much on makeup, but I finally decided to try this, and I'm so glad I did. After years of buying the wrong makeup colors (especially lipstick!), I have a set of just the right ones. The lipsticks are all perfect. They're brighter than I'm used to, but I have to admit, they look good. The blushes all work, and I like that there's a contour color. The eye shadows surprised me - I didn't know all those colors would look good on me, but they do. The only complaint I have is that the brushes are a bit too stiff to work with the eye shadows, but that's a small thing. This was worth the money!

Keeping it simple

Your Jill Kirsh Color system has made it so simple for me to do my makeup in the morning and to go shopping.
I have spent thousands on clothes and makeup that was not right for me. This makeup makes me look my best and I am now able, with the help of the swatch book, to shop with confidence and know that the colors I am choosing will also make me look my best. Thanks Jill.
