The Ojon tree is native to the Western Honduran Rainforest, home to the Miskito Indians. For more than 500 years, these indigenous people have extracted oil from the fruit-like nuts of the Ojon tree using it for a variety of hair and body treatments. "I have thick, coarse, wavy/frizzy hair. This stuff really helps make it shiny and manageable. BUT NOTE: Don't use it 5 days before or after coloring your hair! This is noted only one place in the booklet, not on the jar or the box--I saw it only after I had put the stuff on my hair, so I had to postpone my appointment to get my hair colored!!"

"I have used this product for approximately 2 weeks now and have not noticed much of a difference, but in all fairness , I have not tried an overnight treatment yet. My hair is terribly over processed and damaged and I may need a few "overnight" treatments before I see a difference. It does help with the humidity frizzies, but there are some less expensive over the counter products that do just as well. The first time I used the product , I did use more than recommended and that was a big mistake !! I had to re-wash my hair, a little goes a long way when using this product for daily light conditioning. Very nice fragrance,,, almost like cocoa butter I may review again in a few weeks if I see a difference then."

"This product is invaluable. When it is humid out, let alone raining, my hair can turn into steel wool but not with this product. "I had high hopes for this product as I am over 50 and my hair is very fine and tends to be "fly-away". I also color my hair and wear it below-shoulder lenght. The deep treatment did seem to leave my hair with more shine but it didn't last long. When I tried the tiny drop for daily styling, my hair looked weighed-down, kind of oily. I do like the deep treatment, but this product is going to last me a long, long time. I don't think I will be using it very much. (wonderful scent!)"

"i'm in my 50s & have always worn my hair, which is fine, below my shoulders. with age & pregnancies, it changed from straight to curly & the humidity in ga. has been quite a challenge, esp. in summer months; frizz galore & no chance of holding a set. the price prevented me from ordering this earlier but made the purchase before heading to spain for a week at the beach & was thrilled with results. was able to use a curling iron with good results & also wore hair with natural waves and no set without frizz. a little goes a long way too. highly recommended!"
