"This gown had to have been mislabeled and/or mis-sized. It was huge. While I am a small woman, I am not petite (5'6" with long arms and legs). This gown would have fit me three times over. It is too bad, because it was lovely. I think this particular item needs to be checked by the company for sizing."

"This is a beautiful lounging gown but your description omitted the wonderful fact that it has pockets!!! it's fabulous !!! The only thing I found wrong with it was that your description also said it was 'generously' sized... that's an understatement... I ordered a size down from my usual size and felt like I was swimming in it....am exchanging it for one 2 sizes smaller... other than that, it's a dream."

"I think that this gown is lovely, very elegant. In contrast to a previous reviewer, I think that the back is very striking. I love that aspect of this gown. As with other gowns by Soft Surroundings, I recommend that you order one size smaller than usual."

"I love the color and gauzy fabric of this nightgown, but I don't care for the design-- the back is cut too low for me. The back sags down so far that my back feels cold when I put it on. Too bad, the fabric is so nice-- but I am going to send it back."

"This is probably a lovely, appropriate gown for someone, but I found it voluminous instead of luxurious. After one or two attempts, I do not think I will purchase any more clothing from this company, though I would certainly invest in its fine bedding products again, and am thinking of exchanging this gown for a blanket for my 80+ godmother. That about sums it up, I guess. That seems too bad, though... Re this nightgown, I suggest buying a "size down," from your usual. I didn't feel comfortable as much as kind of huge, because of so much fabric. From the photos, I expected the gown to be not body-hugging, yet streamlined to a reasonable degree. Surely there are sleeping gowns & robes - I detest pj's - between the nearly body-sprayed, and the ready for the nursing home. This "whisper gown" is indeed light. The silk(ish?) braided shoulders are pretty & the color is a fine light pink; it was all just quite more substantial than I envisioned. On the other hand, for me, $79 is quite a lot for an everyday nightgown. If you buy $379 gowns regularly, then here's a nice bargain. Even so, I have had other quite good experiences with Soft Surroundings, particularly for bedding, and have had no problems at all with billing, returns, or any other business issues."
